Harad’s New Government-

Tarkinate:
A Government that is above and beyond a Monarchy. Once a Tarkin has been chosen, that person rules the Entire continent on which they live. Tarkins are above the authority of all orders, Gods, and Clan of Kings. A Tarkin, unlike other Rulers, has no Council to serve beneath him/her, and is absolute ruler of his/her realm.

Past Tarkins:
Tarkin Tek-aKet of Arcosa (Baria)

New Tarkin:
Tarkin Par-iRap of Arcosa (Baria)

Djehuti Culture-

Names:
In Djehuti (also called Caid), names are usually used to show stations. When someone holds no station, or one that is not important, his/her name is usually repeated as his/her last name. (i.e. Tol-eTol, Bar-iBar, Dan-aDan, Sol-oSol)
If a person has a position of great standing, his/her name is reversed as his/her last name. (i.e. Tol-eLot, Bar-iRab, Dan-aNad, Sol-oLos)
Also, known as common fact, people may choose names that do not follow the repetitive style, and opt for names of their choosing. This is usually only extended to commoners or High-Ranking Generals/Nobles.

Religion:
Unlike many other races, Djehuti follow no gods, goddesses, or divinities of any kind. At one time, the Djehuti held belief in all gods, not just one as many of their neighbors do. They held no god higher than the others, but that way of belief was removed during the first reign of Lucia Magus, who despised the gods for their maltreatment of the mortals.

Traditions:
Djehuti follow strict moral guidelines that keep them from killing unnecessarily, unless so ordered by their ruler. They spend their whole lives, from first step to last breath, training in the arts of war, magic, and education.

Fighting Tactics:
Djehuti use a special training called Shora, a “mock-fighting” that can be done in groups or alone. Shora are divided into categories of three for each type. Shora are used for all types of fighting as well as some assassination, sneaking, and calming techniques. Of the over one-hundred and fifty Shora, most Djehuti only learn the 25 basic Shora. Only one person in the Barian Realms, has learned all 150, and that is Lucia Magus (Par-iRap).

Tribes:
The Djehuti are divided into many tribes, some of which have no ties to the others. Of the tribes, over fifty are located in Baria; Duros, Acai, Somtr, Cloud, and Ujin are but a few. The more than four-hundred other tribes are scattered throughout the world. Djehuti life revolves around their tribe, unless they join the Mercenary Brotherhood, and they will give their lives for the good of their tribe.

The Mercenary Brotherhood:
An elite Guild of trained mercenaries that hold no allegiance to any tribe. All members of this guild, whether male or female, are called “Brothers,” and are judged not according to their age, but their time of service in the Brotherhood. The Mercenaries are led by the Senior Brother, who has been in the order the Longest time of all Mercenaries, and who holds the most power. At any given time, there are three Senior Brothers, one at each major city. These mercenaries are well-respected, feared, and loved by the Djehuti, and are usually used as Imperial Guards and Soldiers by the Rulers.

Jaldeans:
A Fanatical sect of priests that believe in “The Sleeping God,” a god who eternally sleeps, only awakening to protect the world, or to end it. These priests have begun to preach against “The Marked” who they claim are trying to awaken the god before his time, thus destroying the world. It is for this that the Jaldeans, who once held high offices in the Government, are now being cast out from their stations.

“The Marked”:
Tomans, gifted with one, or more, of four sacred powers: to See, to Find, to Mend, To Heal. These people are highly revered by the Djehuti, and are given great stations in the Government. They are also the enemies of the Jaldean Sect, who claim them to be the bringers of the end of the world.
