~Veritas lands in her sister's garden, stepping thorugh its defensive barriers as though they aren't even there. She sits cross-legged in the center of the garden, hating Valandres more with each passing second. She sighs, remembering what had happened--the accident the riddle refers to.~
"Open, damn it."
~In a quick motion, she lifts the letter, brushing her lips across the seal.~

~A nearby pool of water bears her face, a window to the place where she cannot go. She watches the woman, but more, watches her feelings, watches her inner being.~

"Your thoughts are complex, my child, tell me of your troubles."

~The woman's reflection is that of an elderly maid, her eyes filled with kindness.~

~Veritas quickly folds the letter she has yet to read and stuffs it under her cloak.~
"My troubles? I cannot afford to have troubles."
~She glares at the woman.~
"...and you aren't supposed to be here. This garden has powerful wards."

~The elderly woman smiles, her smile is warm and full of love.~

"Tell me, child, do you know of Fury?"

"Fury?"
~Her eyes swirl, green-tinged on the edges of abyssine black. She stares at the rhia'dinh in front of her for a moment.~
"The name is...somewhat familiar...but..."
~She frowns.~
"I know nothing about her, save that she is a Goddess..."
~Veritas sighs and looks at the woman.~
"I came here to be alone..."

~The woman's eyes seem filled with sadnes as her image falters.~

"Once you have learned more of her, call to me. Call for Nandhithe Gatherer."

~The images vanishes, gone from the pool.~

~Veritas frowns at the words, confused for the second time in her life. She unfolds the letter from Valandres and begins reading.~

a strange language was writ upon the parchement unreadable ti veritas. its slanting stroke like runes traveled the length of the parchemtn until at the very end words writ imn the common tongue coul;d be seen.

"Another damned riddle...Honestly, Gabriel!"
~She lies down on the ground staring up at the sky.~
" 'That which holds the seven sins'? What, in Arad's name, does he speak of?!"
~She sighs, re-reading that one line, seeking any epiphany it might present...to no avail.~
"So many answers, yet only one.
Seek not the knowing, or 't will be undone."
~She folds the letter carefully, sliding it beneath her cloak as she leaves the garden, doubling the wards for good measure.~
