Swordsmen on the Horizon

~Beslyn stands on the crest of The Goidoi Hill, staring down at the city below. Behind him, four hundred of Valadyr's finest wait for his signal, swords gleaming i nthe morning sun. Beslyn stares at the city, disgusted by the state that the guards have allowed it to fall into.~

"They disrespect our Lord-King. Homes, burnt, Loyalists, beheaded and placed on display for us to see. Such senseless deaths."

~Beslyn turns to the men, men he had chosen specifically for this battle, specifically because they were loyal to him, and would not speak of what they saw here.~

"Trianna, Inform the men, we attack in one hour."

~A female soldier rushes back to the men, calling to the officers. Beslyn sighs, his form changing to its natural state. His hair grows long, turns whit, and blows in the breeze. His eyes turn green, glowing with fury. His clothes, changing from the heavy robes of a scholar, become black leathers. He pulls a long katana from its sheath on his side.~

"What will become of us, if bloodshed begets bloodshed?"

~Paladine walks from the village, straight through the ranks to Yazoo. The blood-stained bandage still on his eye.~

"They are few, very few. Perhaps two or three dozen."

~Paladine smiles slightly, seeing the look of displeasure on Yazoo's face.~

"And this is the only town they have managed to take. Dhulyn of Anatolia has held the others in this region. Which explains why he is yet to go to the capital."

"Ah...well, all is in good fun."

~Yazoo bows to Paladine, though only slightly.~

"You take over here. I shall return to the capital...It seems my lord has a funny idea of friends."
