::The Great Yokai::

~Rhi appears beside her sister, sees the being, and disappears again. She immediately sends a shade in her stead.~
"Hello, Your Grace."
~The shade curtsies.~
"By the by, Aradni has no gods. Tartarus does, though. Is that what you meant?"

"Tempest...was going to destroy Tartarus..."
~Rhi frowns.~
"Is that what you mean?"

"You did."
~Rhi's shade frowns.~
"Though why you must ask is beyond me..."

~Veritas steps forward, placing a hand on the shade's shoulder.~
"Rhi is easily confused, my Lord, when it comes to the present. The future is easy enough to understand for her, but the present is beyond her capabilities...and the past...impossible for her..."
~She bows.~
"I am Veritas...you already knew as much. I shall be of more help to you than Rhi, in this case."
~She glances around.~
"More privacy would be nice..."
~The three of them suddenly find themselves in the Imperial Garden.~
"Much better...no prying ears here..."
~She looks back to the being.~
"I am the Tartaran goddess of Knowledge. I can understand past and present much better than the Tartaran goddess of Fate."
~She laughs.~
"but...I keep telling you that which you already know!"
~Her laughter stops as suddenly as it started.~
"What is it you have come for, my Lord?"

~Yoko's claws retract slightly.~

Tell me of the happening of this...me, who came here to threaten this land.

~Yoko waves his hand, indicating Aradni.~

Tell me everything he said, did, and, if you know, thought.

((If you haven't noticed, Yoko holds Phoenixes in very low standards. He believes them no more than useless creations of a fallen god))

~Veritas bows, and her memory washes over them, the event replaying exactly as she saw it.~


"Ha! Hehehehe."

~His cold laugh falls to the ears of the saddened woman.~

"Foolish child."

~A small white orb floats down from high above. Slowly the orb expands and forms into Lord Yoko. His white hair sways gently with the arid wind. He cracks his knuckles as he extends his claws. His eyes flash red then back to normal before he steps up to the women.~

"You were warned."

~Yoko's glare becomes more intense as he comes closer.~

"We gave you the Prophecy, but you failed."

~He steps up next to Rhi, lifting his hand high.~

"By the Honor of the Fox Spirits, You shall pay."

~Yoko slams his hand against the side of Rhi's face, knocking her back.~

"Grieve, but remember, Phoenix, You are marked. You will pay for adandoning my love."

~Yoko turns to Hosetu.~

"And you, Librarian.... You...."

~Yoko retracts his claws and turns from the women, looking out to the crowd.~

"HEAR ME, MORTALS! You are marked by a Lord of Judgement. You have one hundred thousand years to remain. I shall return to punish you all!"

~Yoko vanishes in a whisp of smoke, whispering a reminder as he goes.~

"Death to those who abandoned her...."



~Veritas stares at the being, waiting for his reaction.~
"Aradni never abandoned her, you know. We were just...letting Fate run its course..."
